The Forza 300 matches the output of a 3000W tungsten head, so it's capable of illuminating a large area. However, it's a sixth of the weight of the tungsten head and runs much cooler! Extra positioning options in the studio are enhanced by its separate control panel which is part of the power supply unit, either attached to a light stand or placed on the floor. So there's no need to squint at the controls when the light is set high up. Power can be via an AC adapter (supplied) or optional 14.8V V-mount batteries, and reliable continuous use is maintained by the onboard low-noise fan. Remote control options are DX, 2.4G remote handset or the NanLite app. Supplied with a robust carrying case.
COB stands for 'Chip On Board' which means that light-emitting area of a COB can contain many more LEDs than conventional surface-mounted types. Other advantages include reduced componentry, pro rata lower heat output, lower rate of failure and wider light angle.
High light daylight balanced output with accurate colour (98 CRI, 95 TCLI), continuously adjustable from 0-100%
Uses the Bowens S mount, which allows a wide variety of other makers’ modifiers to be used, as well as NanLite’s own.
Control unit is separate from the light head – convenient when positioning lights in high or low positions. Comes with a clamp to enable fixing to a light stand, but can be stood on the ground.
5 different lighting effects to enhance video production.
Supplied with an AC adapter but will also run from two 14.8V V-mount batteries (not supplied).
Powerful enough to provide fill-in light outside in bright sunshine.
Can also be controlled with an optional 2.4G controller, via NanLite app (available for iOS and Android), or DMX link.
Quiet running fan can be switched off in circumstances requiring absolute silence.
