The MT055XPRO3 is the latest version of Manfrotto's classic 3-section professional tripod design. Redesigned features include Quick Power Lock levers which enable the legs to be operated with one hand, a compact centre column tilting machanism which requires just a single button press to activate, and a EasyLink socket at the top which allows various types of arm to be attached to support flashguns, lights, microphones and other accessories. If a full height, rigid and versatile tripod is what you need, the 055 is an excellent choice.
Quick Power Lock levers enable all the levers to be grasped at the same time, which makes opening and closing the legs one easy operation.
Legs can be set individually at any one of of four angles – 25°, 46°, 66° and 88°.
Centre column can be repositioned horizontally by depressing the button at the base of the column; this allows it to be swung 90° without the need to manually reposition the column.
EasyLink ¼” socket in the top casting enable a variety of Manfrotto or other compatible components to be attached to the tripod – very useful for lights, flashguns, clamps etc in still, video or macro photography. If the accessory has a 3/8" socket, the 147 adaptor will be required.
The top platform includes a bubble level, which can be rotated so that it is not obscured by a mounted head.
