The Kenko Teleplus HD Pro 2x DGX teleconverter for Canon DSLR cameras uses professional quality multicoated optics to multiply a lens' effective focal length by 1.4x, losing 2 stops of light - so a 70-200mm/f2.8 lens would become a 140-400mm/f5.6 one. It is compact and lightweight, and is an ideal solution if usage will not justify the expense of an extra lens.
Full connections to camera functions: note that if the effective aperture becomes smaller than f8 autofocus will not work, in which case (depending on the camera model) you would see viewfinder focus confirmation when focusing manually).
Minimum focusing distance is the same as the prime lens.
Optical construction: 7 elements in 5 groups
HD Pro DGX teleconverters are tested to be compatible with proprietary lenses from Nikon and Canon. Other manufacturers’ lenses may not be supported.
Precision-engineered in Japan.
