The Lab-Box Module 120 replaces the 35mm Module to enable a 120 roll film to be developed in the Lab-Box. Includes the 120 ends for the developing tank reel.
The 120 Module has two compartments: the roll is positioned in the top one and the film will be automatically loaded in the bottom one. Once the lid is closed, pulling out the black backing paper through the slit on the back will automatically load the film in the second, lightproof compartment. Having completed this operation, the lid can be opened in order to clip the film and then closed.
There are two options for film development:
Continuous agitation This uses 270ml of chemicals, partially submerging the film, which is rotated throughout the time using the side knob (or an optional crank handle).
Intermittent agitation This uses 500ml of chemicals, completely submerging the film, so that agitation is only required occasionally (usually once a minute for 5-10 seconds).
The reel ends replace the 35mm ones (with the paddles) and are left- and right-handed to ensure that the film loads on to the spiral correctly.
These PET base films can't be loaded in Lab-Box 120 Module and can be hard to clip in Lab-Box 135 Module:
