The Lab-Box 135 is the easiest and quickest way to develop a 35mm film in daylight, anywhere, without the need to load the film in the dark. No more fumbling in a darkroom or changing bag - just insert the film in the module, close the lid, wind on into the tank, cut the end with the integral blade and pour in chemistry. The side knob agitates the film during processing. And should you want to develop a 120 roll film at any time, the modular construction of Lab-Box means you can simply replace the 35mm module with a 120 one and use in a similar way.
The 135 Module has a film slot where the 35mm cartridge is positioned and blocked. The film is then clipped to create a square end and the lid is closed in order to rotate the outer knob so loading the film onto the reel. Once completely loaded on the reel, an internal blade will cut the film, separating it from the cartridge.
There are two options for film development:
Continuous agitation This uses 270ml of chemicals, partially submerging the film, which is rotated throughout the time using the side knob (or an optional crank handle).
Intermittent agitation This uses 500ml of chemicals, completely submerging the film, so that agitation is only required occasionally (usually once a minute for 5-10 seconds).
Quick and easy Film rolls can be loaded and developed in daylight, using an intuitive and simple process. It’s also light and compact, so can be packed in luggage to use away from home.
Versatile and Professional Suitable for beginners, but will also meet the needs of more experienced photographers, offering the possibility to experiment with different developing processes.
A 120 module is available separately.
These PET base films can't be loaded in Lab-Box 120 Module and can be hard to clip in Lab-Box 135 Module:
