The VALOI 360 Advancer is used in conjunction with the 35mm, 120 or one of the Custom Film Holders to enable rapid digitising of film images. It works especially well with an uncut roll of film, and once the leader end is introduced into the rollers, the film can be advanced without any need to touch it. A roll of 35mm film can be scanned in as little as two minutes. Made from powder coated steel, it has adjustable rubber feet to create a secure and level base.

    More Information

    • The Advancer lifts the film away from the light source by 50mm which helps to diffuse any imperfections. Should further correction be required, the VALOI Diffuser can be attached to its base.

    • Designed for use with uncut rolls, but works also with strips as short as 3 frames.

    • Accurate levelling of the film surface can be further refined by using the screw feet of the Advancer.

    • Rubber rollers are located in grooves on stainless steel rods. These can be adjusted for 35mm, 127 and 120 film widths, and grip the film securely so that it can be moved in either direction through the Holder.

    • Additional accessories such as Masks and the Duster can be fitted - further products are in development.

    • The Advancer requires assembly of the rods and attachment of the end knobs using the included small allen key.

    • An informative printed guide to assembly and use is included.

    • VALOI products are precision manufactured from high quality materials: the word 'valoi' means 'light and creation' in Finnish. They are designed for film scanning in conjunction with a digital camera with macro lens, support stand and light source.
