A set of two extension tubes for Micro 4/3 cameras for macro photography. They will extend the use of any micro four thirds camera with an interchangeable lens by allowing it to focus closer, thus increasing the size of small objects on the image sensor. A 10mm and 16mm tube is supplied, each having all contacts to enable auto TTL exposure metering. They can be used singly or together - the greater the length, the larger the magnification.
Mounts between the lens and the camera body: maintains the lens optical quality and enables the lens to focus closer (note that infinity focusing is not possible with a tube attached).
Using more tubes to increase the extension will increase the magnification, but decreases light transmission. This may affect the camera’s ability to autofocus. If the lens ‘hunts’, switch to manual, but in most cases, and especially with higher magnifications, focusing is best achieved by moving the whole camera and lens assembly backwards and forwards (see our range of geared focusing racks which aid this).
