A top quality set of 3 extension tubes for macro photography with TTL exposure coupling for Canon Full Frame and APS-C DSLR cameras. The tube lengths are 12mm, 20mm and 36mm, and they can be used individually or in any combination. Using all three will give 1:1 magnification with a 50mm lens on full frame format. Autofocusing is possible, although this is of no practical benefit when working at macro magnifications.
Mounts between the lens and the camera body: maintains the lens optical quality and enables the lens to focus closer (note that infinity focusing is not possible with a tube attached).
Using more tubes to increase the extension will increase the magnification, but decreases light transmission. This may affect the camera’s ability to autofocus. If the lens ‘hunts’, switch to manual, but in most cases, and especially with higher magnifications, focusing is best achieved by moving the whole camera and lens assembly backwards and forwards (see our range of geared focusing racks which aid this).
