The EcklaSphere is an innovative support for a camera with a long telephoto lens, or a spotting scope, which facilitates tracking of moving objects when placed on a beanbag or soft ground. The carefully profiled shape is formed from a solid piece of steel, which is anodised to be corrosion-resistant, and its smooth surface means that it is virtually silent in operation. A quick release or lens foot can be mounted to the top plate, and stainless steel 1/4" and 3/8" socket inserts, plus a male adapter thread, are provided. Weight 900g.
