The CB38F is a lightweight medium sized ball and socket head with an exceptional load capacity. It has a separate panoramic base with locking knob, and friction control to help restrain unwanted movement of a heavy camera when unlocking the ball. The standard platform can be replaced with a quick release if required.
The ball, the diameter in mm of which is indicated by the number, is CNC machined from high grade aluminium alloy, and coated to give a silky smooth operation.
A large and easy to grasp locking knob has a concentric black friction control ring which allows exactly the right amount of drag to be set relative to the load.
The separate pan base has 360° markings and its own locking knob.
Supplied with removeable standard platform.
FLM and other makers' quick release adaptors with a 3/8" socket can also be attached to the screw using threadlock adhesive. See below
