The Novoflex ASTAT-SL is a tripod mount ring for use with the Leica SL/EOS and SL/NIK lens to body adapters. It provides better balance with large diameter heavy lenses such as the Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL f2.8–4/24–90 mm ASPH (1,140 gram) and Leica Apo-Vario-Elmarit-SL f2.8–4/90–280 mm (1,710 gram), taking the strain off the body bayonet. It replaces the supplied mount with the latter lens. It has an Arca quick release base profile and 1/4" and 3/8" base sockets, and nominal diameter of 95mm.
