Some staff are working from home, but you should not notice any difference when contacting us by phone or email, as our internet-based systems enable home-working staff to communicate normally as well as access nearly all the information which would be available in our office.
Office and warehouse
We are maintaining rigorous hygiene procedures, including thorough hand washing immediately on entering the building, after receiving and handling any boxes which have been delivered, and regularly throughout the day.
IMPORTANT: IF YOU REQUIRE GOODS QUICKLY, PLEASE USE THE NEXT DAY SERVICE.
Royal Mail has several depots affected by reduced staffing due to COVID, although the situation has improved. However, with large volume increases beyond the usual seasonal level, all mail deliveries are likely to be slower than usual, and we cannot predict a likely delivery date for our standard service.
Our recommendations to you
Both Royal Mail and DPD are delivering without the need for you to sign a handset when receiving a parcel, and will leave the parcel a safe distance from you on request.
Although the risk of infection transmission from packaging is low, we would advise that after unpacking your parcel you dispose of the outer packing material and immediately wash your hands before handling the contents.
OUR WAREHOUSE COUNTER REMAINS CLOSED, BUT YOU CAN COLLECT
Our counter remains closed and we ask that customers do not visit our premises with a view to inspecting goods. We will not demonstrate equipment. There is now a 'COLLECT' option when you order on our website. Place your order, which will be promptly processed, and you can pick up at our delivery door. Let us know when you expect to arrive, and please provide a contact phone number.
Goods supply situation
The majority of our suppliers will be operating normally in December, but note that supplies of many Chinese-sourced products have been delayed because of a container shortage and lack of airfreight capacity. At present, our German suppliers are functioning normally, with no transit delays being experienced. With no Brexit solution in place, we are building up stocks this month to try to mitigate the inevitable supply problems in January.
We wish all our customers well in these trying circumstances.
