CamRanger Wireless Camera Control

In conjunction with an iPad or tablet computer, the CamRanger gives wireless off-camera control with live-view streaming for still or video image capture. Adjust camera settings, capture and view images, and set time-lapse and macro photography parameters. Immediately transfer images to computer, or a Dropbox folder, FTP folder or social media site. CamRanger is ideal for many shooting situations where being next to the camera is neither desirable nor possible (e.g. bird photography, surveillance, pole-aerial photography), or where access to the camera viewfinder is difficult (e.g. ground level macro photography), or in the studio, for remote viewing (by an art director or client) of images being shot by the photographer. The CamRanger app is available for IOS, Android, Mac OSX, Windows operating systems and includes free upgrades.

  • The neat transmitter creates its own local wireless network so it needs no computer nor internet connection. Operating range is around 50m.
  • A real time live view image is streamed from the camera to the device. Once an image is captured it can be reviewed, and saved or deleted from the camera card remotely. Video is handled in the same way: just choose the video live view button instead of the stills one.
  • Complete remote focus control is possible, with both nudge focusing and focus stacking available. Images can be enlarged to full resolution on screen to check critical focus (JPEG or Canon RAW format). Most camera functions can be viewed and adjusted remotely.
  • Upload images to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Instagram directly from the app, and also to specific Dropbox folders or FTP servers for others to access immediately. Send images directly to a printer, and with the "Share" app see and rate images as they a being produced.
  • Features include an Intervalometer for time-lapse photography, auto sequencing of shots for High Dynamic Range (HDR) pictures, Macro & Focus Stacking control for critical focus applications.
  • Supplied with a pouch case which allows the transmitter to be clipped to a tripod or similar support.
  • USB-rechargeable Li-Polymer battery is user replaceable. Battery life is typically 3-6 hours depending on usage but can be longer.
