A high resolution 1/2" condenser capsule with a super-cardioid polar pattern ensures that your recording is focused on the subject in front of the camera.
Output is via a 3.5mm minijack connector (sending the mono signal to both left and right channels).
A slimline suspension system effectively isolates the mic from camera-borne vibrations.
A switchable 80Hz high-pass filter enables low pitched noise from traffic or air conditioners to be excluded.
Level settings, which attenuate or boost the recorded level, are included. The -10dB level attenuation (or PAD) is ideal for recording loud sound sources, such as live music, motorsport, or interviews where the subject is very close to the camera. The +20dB level boost is designed for use with DSLR cameras such as the Canon 5DMkII, Canon 7D, Canon 1D, Canon 550D/T2i, Canon 60D, Nikon D7000, Nikon D5100, Panasonic GH1 and Panasonic GH2. This boost in the microphone output allows the user to reduce the camera's mic input level, thus reducing the amount of noise generated by the camera's comparatively low quality audio circuitry.
The standard accessory mount includes a 3/8" socket for mounting on a boom pole or similar (n.b. an adaptor will be required for 1/4" screw mounts).
Uses a 9V alkaline battery, which will provide over 70 hours recording.
