Velbon Ultrek UT-63D Tripod with QHD-63D Head

The Ultrek UT-63D is the largest of the best-selling Ultrek series, with a load capacity of 6kg, and maximum working height of 157cm. The unique 'trunnion shaft' type tripod design. This enables nearly all of the length of each section to be extended, thus providing a normal working height from a folded length of just 30.5cm, without any compromise of stability. Legs are extended by grasping the bottom section and twisting anti-clockwise - all the sections then unlock - and then twisting clockwise to lock. The QHD-63D ball head has a quick release plate (QB-62 type) and twin bubble levels, and can be removed if required.

  • Velbon's innovative 'trunnion shaft' leg design enables nearly all of the length of each section to be extended, thus giving extra height from a very compact folded length, without any compromise of stability.
  • To quickly extend each leg, grasp the rubber foot and give a quarter turn anti-clockwise, then pull. Locking all the leg sections is done by rotating the foot clockwise. One locking point for the whole leg.
  • Legs can be angled for low-level use.
