The Manfrotto 494RC2 head is the same as the 494, but with the addition of an RC2 type quick release platform, complete with 200PL camera plate. Dual slots allow the head to be quickly moved 90° either way. A separate friction control knob allows the ball movement to be matched to the load. The ergonomically-shaped locking knob can be repositioned by pulling it sideways, moving it to the required position, and releasing.
