The Manfrotto 231B is a column studio stand for large-format cameras or other equipment. The spring-loaded sliding support arm allows rapid height change up and down the column, compensating for the weight of the attached accessory. The sliding arm is supplied with a standard 5/8" spigot fixing for heads or accessories, and the low profile base has braked wheels to allow easy positioning in the studio.
