The Manfrotto MH057A5 head allows the creation of sequential panoramic shots around the lens' nodal point with the camera in horizontal or vertical position. Adjusting the nodal point of the lens to be at the centre of rotation ensures that there are no parallax errors to cause problems during image stitching. One 454 geared plate allows 120mm of fore-and-aft movement: lateral adjustment of around 80mm is by sliding plate. A 300N panoramic base provides precise click-stop settings for rotation.
