  • The joystick head has some neat features: a Regulating Dial sets the movement resistance to suit the weight of the camera you are using; the circular quick release plate means you don’t have to precisely orientate the camera when attaching it; and a Photo/Video switch locks out the side-to-side tilt when shooting movies. Plus the ergonomic design makes it very comfortable to use too.
  • The Compact Action is designed to work perfectly with lighter cameras up to 1.5kg/3.3lbs such as compact DLSRs, compact system and bridge cameras. Note that some of these cameras have tripod sockets very close to the end of the base plate. Manfrotto recommend a minimum distance of 13mm to guarantee stability. A plate is included for cameras like the Sony NEX 5R/5T with a very small base area to improve the grip when attached to the tripod.
