A geared self-locking centre column ensures that there is no risk of a heavy camera dropping accidentally. Legs have tube diameters of a substantial 40, 35 and 20mm and are braced with telescopic struts, and angles can be individually adjusted. Rubber feet include retractable spikes, and there's a built-in spirit level.
