The four targets are:

Creative Enhancement Target
Allows evaluation of highlight and shadow detail, and also has warming and cooling white balance patches.

Classic Target
The industry standard 24 patch colour reference target for creating camera profiles and evaluating specific colours

White Balance Target
Get more accurate colours before you start shooting, and reduce time spent optimising this at the computer.

18% Grey Balance Target
Typically used with a reflective light meter or an in-camera meter, it can also be used as a neutral balance to remove colour casts.

ColorChecker Passport also includes camera calibration software which works with the Classic Target and allows you to create custom DNG profiles, in its own standalone software and also as a plug-in for Adobe Lightroom 2.
