Terms and Conditions - General
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on www.speedgraphic.co.uk. These terms constitute a legal document ("the Agreement"), which sets out the rights and obligations of you as the Purchaser ("you", “the Purchaser”), and those of Speed Graphic Mail Order Ltd ("Speed Graphic", “the Company”, "we" or "us"), in relation to the services and products offered by us through this site.
Placing an order requires your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Place of performance and applicable law
Speed Graphic Mail Order Ltd is a company registered in England. Unless otherwise specified, the materials on this site are directed solely at those who access this site from the United Kingdom. Speed Graphic makes no representation that any product referred to in the materials on this site is appropriate for use, or available, in other locations. Those who choose to access this site from other locations are responsible for compliance with local laws if and to the extent that local laws are applicable. English law shall govern this Agreement.
You and we each submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any dispute arising out of this Agreement.
2. Acceptance of orders
2.1 We consider the contract of sale to be formed at the point of despatch by us of your goods. Any email or other electronic acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order placed by you does not constitute legal acceptance by us of your order.
2.2 Goods supplied to you by Speed Graphic will correspond with their prices and description (any errors and omissions excepted). If at any time this is not the case we will give you the right to reject the goods within 14 calendar days for a full refund.
2.3 While we try to ensure that all prices for goods displayed on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of the goods you have ordered we will notify you of the correct price and give you the option to reconfirm your order at the new price or cancel it.
2.4 It shall be the responsibility of the Purchaser to determine the suitability of the goods for any application. There is no guarantee as to the suitability of the goods for any specific purpose from any description displayed or verbal advice given by a Company employee. In any dispute that may arise liability of the Company for breach of any warranty or obligation either expressed or implied is limited to the value of the goods supplied.
2.5 The Order Details email confirmation sets out your order as placed on the website. Whilst we try to display accurate stock availability on the site, we accept no liability for consequential loss arising from any non-availability of the goods ordered. In such circumstances we will promptly advise you before despatch.
2.6 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to deliver only to the verified cardholder address.
3. Returns and cancellations policy
Subject to the right of Purchasers to return goods for a refund under The Supply of Goods and Services Act and Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, Speed Graphic does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly recommended to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.
3.1 EC customers have a legal right to cancel their order from the point of placing the order until 14 calendar days after the day the goods are received and receive a full refund. Please contact us first before returning any goods.

Please state your name, order reference and your postcode in any communication.
3.2 If you decide to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched you should take reasonable care of the goods when received and you will also be responsible for returning the goods to Speed Graphic at your own risk and cost. We strongly recommend that you use an insured delivery method e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery. Except where goods are faulty, or incorrectly described on the website, all returns are subject to the following conditions:
• If you have inspected the product, it must be returned complete with any included accessories in the original and undamaged packaging and not exhibiting any signs of wear or tear. Any use of the purchased item beyond that necessary to inspect the goods on delivery will invalidate your right to cancel the contract.
• Software, memory cards, DVDs and other digital products supplied in sealed cartons can only be accepted for refund if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copywright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Please note that all opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the Distance Selling Regulations unless it arrives damaged or is faulty.
• Any free gifts supplied with the product must also be returned.
• Items which are not normal stock lines and which have been specially ordered for the Purchaser are not refundable.
• Where we are required to collect the goods on the Purchaser’s behalf, or in the case of the Purchaser choosing not to accept the original delivery, we will charge £9.95, which will be deducted from the refund.
• At our option we may accept goods cancelled outside the 14 day period for refund. Any goods which cannot be re-sold as new will be subject to a restocking charge.
Monies will be refunded within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods. In the case of credit or debit cards, this will be to the card used to make the purchase. We will refund the full price of the goods and our standard delivery charge
3.3 Purchasers resident outside the UK have up to 14 days to cancel their order, in writing by email, fax or letter, subject to the following conditions:
• You will be responsible for returning the goods to Speed Graphic at your own risk and cost.
• If you have inspected the product, it must be returned complete with any included accessories in the original and undamaged packaging and not exhibiting any signs of wear or tear. If we deem this condition not to have been fulfilled, we may choose to apply a restocking charge.
• Any refund made will be for the goods value only.
Faulty or incorrectly described goods
3.4 All goods sold by Speed Graphic, with the exception of certain digital hardware and software products, are guaranteed for at least 12 months from the date of delivery.
3.5 If the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery you will have the option of a refund or exchange. This does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. It will help us to process your return if the goods are complete with the original packaging and supplied accessories.
3.6 If the fault occurs after 30 days but within 6 months of delivery you will be offered a repair, or in exceptional circumstances a full or partial refund or exchange.
3.7 If the fault occurs after 6 months but within 12 months of delivery we will offer a repair only. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault and, if no fault is found, return the goods to you.
3.8 No refund will be processed until the faulty goods have been received and inspected by ourselves.
3.9 Any refund due to a fault occurring within the first 6 months of purchase will include a refund of the delivery charge to customers within the UK. For these customers we will also collect, or pay for the costs of returning the goods to us, if within the period of 6 months from the invoice date. Outside this 6 month period you will be responsible for covering the costs of return to us. We strongly recommend that you use an insured delivery service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery.
3.10 This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights, details of which are available from Consumer Direct or your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
3.11 Purchasers resident outside the UK will be responsible for returning the goods at their own risk and cost during any of the above periods. Other than that, the same criteria apply.
4. Website content
4.1 Speed Graphic shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this site.
4.2 Certain links in this site (typically a banner advert or icon) will lead to other sites which are not under the control of Speed Graphic. When you activate any of these you will leave the Speed Graphic site and we will accept no responsibility or liability for the material on these sites.
5.1 During the ordering process data given by yourself is collected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, for sole use by Speed Graphic. The information is used only for the purpose of processing your order and to communicate with you in the provision of this service. Speed Graphic does not disclose customer details to any other organisations.
5.2 When registering your details with Speed Graphic you can opt in or out of receiving marketing emails or printed material. We will only email you periodically with our own offers which we feel will be of interest. If you do not want to be included in either of these you may opt out at any time by editing your account details, or by emailing.
5.3 Cookies are used on the site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket. Information and statistics may also be used for the purpose of monitoring site usage. These statistics do not include any information which could be used to identify any individual.
Orders received by 4pm where the goods are in stock are normally despatched the same day. If an item is not in stock but is expected within 3 working days we may elect to hold your order until it is complete. After that time we will part-ship orders, and no further carriage charge will apply when back orders are fulfilled. Shortages on urgent orders will be notified to customers on the day of receipt. Any shortages from deliveries or if goods have been received in a damaged state must be notified to us within 3 days of receipt.

All complaints are taken seriously and will be investigated as soon as they are brought to our notice. We will endeavour to rectify any problems as soon as possible.
8. Site Security
The entire checkout process for the Speed Graphic web site is held on a secure server using a verified TSL (Transport Layer Security) system for transferring data. Depending on your browser, either a padlock symbol will appear or the address bar will change and you can click on these to check the authenticity of the security encryption. The TSL Server Certificate is currently issued by GlobalSign (Domain Validation CA - G2).
