Gimbal heads enable heavy lens and camera combinations to be balanced around the central point of rotation. Combined with the superior bearings in the head, the result is super-smooth and easy panning and tilting, enabling moving subjects to be easily tracked. A set-up and travel lever allows quick and accurate balancing, and acts as a security lock to prevent the camera and lens falling off when making adjustments. Separate friction control and locks are provided for pan and tilt movements, and the soft rubber-coated knobs are captive, so won't get lost. Panoramic base has degree markings, and a bubble level is included. All parts can be disassembled for easy packing and travel. The Gimbal Head can be fitted to any tripod head. By removing the base section, it can be directly fitted to any Arca-Swiss pattern quick release.
