Because all the light emanates from around the lens, the result is a virtually shadowless look on the front of the subject, with a soft, even shadow appearing around the edges.
The Ringflash Adaptor is ideally suited for fashion, portrait and beauty images either as a main or fill light. Can also be used for macro photography where a higher light output than a typical macro flash is required.
Simply pushes into place on the front of the flash. Uses a system of internal prisms and reflectors to distribute the light evenly around the lens.
To take into account the different body heights of cameras, and allow lenses to be centrally placed within the Adaptor, there are different versions now offered.
The Ringflash Adaptor can be fitted to the Nikon SB600, Canon 580EX Mk I and many other makers' flashguns by using a rubber wedge - available free of charge on request. See the downloadable pdf on the right.
Canon Type 1 for EOS 350D - 550D
Canon Type 2 for EOS 7D, 5D, 50D, 40D, 30D, 20D, 10D.
Canon Type 3 for EOS 1D, 1Ds all versions.
Nikon Type 1 for D700, D300, D200, D70, D80, D60, D50, D40, D40X, etc
Nikon Type 2 for D3, D2, D1 all versions.
