The Ocean Traveller castings are manufactured using a unique process, to guarantee high precision with ultra-thin components. A special surface treatment, normally used for surgical equipment, completely closes the surface at micro-porous level so that there is no anchoring point for corrosive agents.
On the 6X carbon fibre legs, the newly-developed Ocean Lock enhances the performance of the G-Locks with extra inserts to minimise water ingress, and the upper leg ends have a funnel-like hole to allow any water which may have entered the tubes to empty.
The stainless steel centre ball head can be disassembled to enable any grit or sand which may have entered to be cleaned.
The kit includes a special grease to lubricate the head and leg locking mechanisms.
